What is the EcoForum?

The Baynes Sound and Lambert Channel Ecosystem Forum (“EcoForum”) Society is a small organization with a big mission: working for the long-term well-being of this exceptional marine ecosystem in the Northern Salish Sea.

Stakeholders include representatives from the K’ómoks, Qualicum, and Tla’amin First Nations, BC Shellfish Growers Association, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the BC Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship, Vancouver Island University, Comox Valley Regional District, Islands Trust, and ENGOs active in the area, including Project Watershed, Association for Denman Island Marine Stewards, and Conservancy Hornby Island.

Since 2017 participants representing these and other stakeholders have met in person to share information, perspectives and concerns about current and emerging issues.
